Second Quarter

On November 6 we started our Second Quarter, let's all try to make it as interesting and rewarding as possible! I know at times working on so many Keyboarding Lessons may seem a bit overwhelming; but take it one day at a time and remember that you are learning to type faster and better - which will help you immensely when you go to College; it will certainly make your life easier in many ways.

Announcement: We will have a Test on Friday, December 1st (this Test was moved due to changes in class schedules). This test will include the techniques learned on Lessons 10 - 20 (from the 6 page hand-out: pages 3 - 6); the paper "Preparing a Presentation on Outline View"; the PowerPoint paper on "Creating a PowerPoint Presentation" (reviewing the six basic guidelines on how to create a presentation and the six basic steps) and a one minute timing.

In December we will be working on a group project: "Creating a Business" and continue with the Keyboarding Skill Builder Lessons. Those who finished those lessons can move on to the Numeric Keypad Lessons and the Numeric Keyboarding Lessons.

In January we will start learning Excel, the spreadsheet program and create some interesting exercises with tables and charts.
